How We Make Money

TechSifted earns revenue in two ways.

Affiliate partnerships. When you click a link on our site and purchase a product or service, we may earn a commission from the vendor.

Priority Reviews. A vendor can pay us to review its product. These reviews are labeled Sponsored, every outbound link in them uses rel="sponsored", and the vendor gets no copy approval. The vendor pays for the review, never the verdict. A paid review never buys a place in our roundups or “Best of” lists. How Priority Reviews work.

What This Means for Our Reviews

Nothing. Our verdicts and rankings are independent of our affiliate relationships and of Priority Review payments. Here’s how we keep it that way:

  • Our editors choose what goes in our roundups and comparisons, not the tools that offer the highest commissions or pay for a review.
  • We recommend free alternatives when they’re genuinely better for a given use case.
  • We criticize tools that have affiliate programs when they deserve criticism.

Any link that takes you to a product’s website where we may earn a commission is an affiliate link.
