// TL;DR
Magic Hour bundles face swap, lip sync, talking photo, and AI video generation with model choice (Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Wan 2.2, LTX-2.5) in one subscription. Creator at $12/month annual, Pro at $25/month, Business at $66/month. All paid plans include commercial use, watermark-free exports, and full API. Buy if you need multiple content workflows in one plan. Skip if your only goal is the best cinematic quality single model.

What we love (and don't)

// PROS
  • One subscription covers face swap, lip sync, talking photo, and multi-model video generation. No second tool required.
  • All paid plans include commercial use, watermark-free exports, full API access, and priority queue. No tool-gating by tier.
  • Multiple frontier video models available: Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Wan 2.2, Seedance 2.0, LTX-2.5
  • Clips up to 60 seconds on Creator and above in the text-to-video tool; 4K resolution on Business
  • Credit packs available without a subscription; credits never expire
  • Face swap is free to try without signup, up to 3 videos per day
  • Creator plan at $12/month annual is priced in line with Runway Standard and cheaper than Kling Pro
// CONS
  • The 1.7 hours of video on Creator is at LTX-2.5 480p rates; Kling 3.0 ($0.057/sec) and Veo 3.1 ($0.091/sec) consume credits roughly 2.5x and 4x faster than LTX-2.5 ($0.023/sec)
  • 4K resolution requires the Business plan at $66/month annual
  • The pricing page lists Creator resolution at 1024px, which I don't consider competitive for cinematic output
  • Not the choice if your single priority is the highest cinematic quality. Runway's Gen-4.5 is a different category.
  • Credits are bought upfront for the year, not allocated monthly; pacing matters more than you'd expect

Most people shopping AI video tools are asking the wrong question. They compare Runway against Pika against Kling as if the choice is purely about which model generates the best clip. For a certain kind of creator, that’s the right question. For a lot more of them, the real question is: how many separate subscriptions am I going to need to run my actual content workflow?

Magic Hour’s answer is one.

What Magic Hour Is

Magic Hour is an AI content platform at magichour.ai that bundles over 100 tools under a single subscription. The core categories are AI video, AI image, and AI audio creation and editing.

The video side includes image-to-video, text-to-video, face swap, talking photo, lip sync, character replace, and a full video editor, among others. The image side covers generation, editing, face swap, body swap, head swap, upscaling, and more. Audio includes voice generation, voice cloning, music generation, and translation.

The scale numbers: 5M+ creators use the platform (Source). Over 40 million AI videos have been generated. More than 1 million people use it every month. Those are the company’s own figures from its homepage and image-to-video page.

Trustpilot shows 4.4/5 across 97 reviews. Product Hunt shows 4.9/5 across 28 reviews. Both ratings appear on the Magic Hour homepage.

Pricing and Plans

Magic Hour uses a credit system. Credits fund all generations across all tools. The key pricing break from the official pricing page, as of November 5, 2026:

Annual billing (recommended):

  • Creator: $12/month ($144 billed upfront annually). 144,000 credits per year. Roughly 1.7 hours of video (the math matches LTX-2.5 at 480p) or 28,800 images. Resolution 1024px. 3 concurrent generations. 2GB file upload limit.
  • Pro: $25/month ($300 billed upfront annually). 300,000 credits per year. Roughly 3.5 hours of video or 60,000 images. Resolution 1472px. 5 concurrent generations. 5GB file upload limit.
  • Business: $66/month ($792 billed upfront annually). 840,000 credits per year. Roughly 9.7 hours of video or 168,000 images. 4K resolution. Unlimited concurrent generations. 10GB file upload limit.

Monthly billing:

  • Creator: $19/month
  • Pro: $39/month
  • Business: $99/month

Annual saves 33–37% over monthly, depending on the plan. The savings are $84/year on Creator, $168/year on Pro, $396/year on Business.

Every paid plan includes watermark-free exports, commercial use rights, full API access, priority queue, priority support, and access to all tools and all models. The plan comparison table separates the tiers on credits, resolution, upload size, and concurrency.

Credit packs: If you need more credits without upgrading, one-time packs are available. 4,000 credits for $10, 12,000 for $27, 32,000 for $68, 64,000 for $128. Credits from packs never expire.

Free tier: Face swap is free to try without creating an account, up to 3 videos per day. A free account includes 400 credits.

The Credit Math You Need to Know

The video time estimates on Magic Hour’s pricing page (1.7 hours on Creator, 3.5 hours on Pro) match LTX-2.5 at 480p: 144,000 credits ÷ 24 credits/sec ÷ 3,600 = 1.67 hours. LTX-2.5 shares the lowest API rate with Wan 2.2, and 480p is the lowest resolution LTX-2.5 offers.

The API pricing page states the rates per second at Business plan pricing:

  • LTX-2.5: from $0.023/sec
  • Kling 2.6: from $0.034/sec
  • Seedance 1.5: from $0.028/sec
  • Veo 3.1 Lite: from $0.045/sec
  • Kling 3.0: from $0.057/sec
  • Veo 3.1: from $0.091/sec
  • Seedance 2.0: from $0.091/sec

The text-to-video tool shows the credit side for LTX-2.5: 480p costs 24 credits/sec. At 720p it’s 48 credits/sec. At 1080p it’s 72 credits/sec. These higher resolutions require Creator or above.

That means the 1.7-hour headline for Creator is real for LTX-2.5 at 480p. If you switch to Kling 3.0, you’re spending approximately 2.5 times as many credits per second based on the relative API pricing ($0.057 vs $0.023). The 1.7 hours shrinks. Plan accordingly.

This is not a gotcha. The per-second rates are public on the API page and in the creation tool. But it’s the number that matters most if you’re evaluating Magic Hour for heavy production use of premium models.

The Specialized Workflows

This is where Magic Hour earns its differentiation from model-first platforms.

Face Swap. The face swap tool handles single and multiple face swaps across photos, videos, and GIFs. Additional modes include head swap and body swap. Free to try without signup at up to 3 videos per day.

Talking Photo. Upload a portrait, add audio, generate a video with synchronized lip and facial movement. The page describes it as working with speech, song, or laughter. Free to try.

Lip Sync. Listed as a distinct tool on the pricing page, and shown as a tab next to Talking Photo on the talking photo page.

Character Replace, AI Avatar Generator, AI UGC Ad Generator. I read these as marketing production tools. The UGC ad generator and character replace tools are the kind of thing agencies build repeatable pipelines around.

Runway, Pika, and Kling are each built around a core video generation model. The Runway ML review, the Pika review, and the Kling AI review on this site cover their generation quality and plans in depth. Kling’s own homepage lists a talking avatar and audio-driven lip sync, so those two are not Magic Hour exclusives. What Magic Hour puts in the same plan is a dedicated face swap tool for photos, video, and GIFs, plus head and body swap. That is the comparison that matters if your workflow touches those use cases.

If yours does, I would rather pay for one plan that covers face swap and video than a video plan plus a separate face swap tool.

The Video Models

Magic Hour’s creation tools do not list a house video model. They list named models. The image-to-video tool shows seven options: Kling 3.0, Wan 2.2, Veo 3.1, Seedance 1.5, Seedance 2.0, LTX-2.5, and Veo 3.1 Lite. Text-to-video shows LTX-2.5, Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1 Lite, Seedance 1.5, and Wan 2.2. All are available on every paid plan.

LTX-2.5 is the default in the text-to-video tool. It is the credit-efficient choice. For creators who want the output quality of Kling 3.0 or Veo 3.1, those models are there, but they cost more from the same credit pool.

This model-access approach is a reasonable product strategy for a broad platform. The tradeoff is that Magic Hour’s optimized path is not a single state-of-the-art model. It is access to many, with LTX-2.5 as the economical anchor. For cinematic requirements where the specific model matters as much as the price, evaluate which model meets your quality bar and what it costs per second from your credit pool.

How It Compares to Runway, Pika, and Kling

For the full head-to-head on those three platforms, see the Runway vs. Pika vs. Kling comparison. The comparison below covers only where Magic Hour fits into that picture.

The brief comparison, by use case:

Standard AI video generation only: Runway Standard at $12/month annual gives you 625 Runway credits/month and access to Gen-4.5 and Kling 3.0. Magic Hour Creator at $12/month annual gives you 144,000 credits/year (12,000/month equivalent) and Kling 3.0 plus Veo 3.1, LTX-2.5, and others. These credit systems are not cross-platform comparable in raw numbers, but both give access to Kling 3.0 at similar entry price points.

Face swap or talking photo: Magic Hour includes both as purpose-built tools, free to try, with face swap open without signup. If your workflow requires dedicated face swap or talking-photo generation alongside standard video, Magic Hour is the platform built for it.

Cinematic-quality video for professional production: Runway’s Gen-4.5 at $28/month Pro is my pick for this use case. Magic Hour does not have an equivalent single-model cinematic benchmark.

Pika: Pika Creator at $28/month annual delivers 2,600 Pika credits/month (Source). Magic Hour Pro at $25/month is $3 cheaper at this tier and includes face swap, talking photo, and lip sync as dedicated tools alongside video generation. If those workflows matter to you, the difference is clear.

Kling direct: Kling Pro at $32.56/month (Source) gives you 3,000 Kling credits/month on Kling’s own platform, and Kling’s credit guide lists native 4K output for the Kling 3.0 series. For pure Kling output at scale, using Kling directly puts all credits toward Kling. On Magic Hour, Kling 3.0 access costs more per second than the platform baseline.

Who Should Buy It

Your workflow touches more than one content type. You generate video clips, but you also run face swaps for ad personalization, or you make product spokespersons talk, or you lip sync social content. You are currently paying for two different tools to do this. I think Magic Hour Creator at $12/month annual can replace both.

You are building a production pipeline and need a single API that covers generation, face swap, and talking photo workflows without maintaining integrations to three vendors. The API is included on all paid plans and the SDKs support Python, Node.js, Go, and Rust.

You are running a small content operation and want one billing relationship instead of several. The free tier covers initial testing. Creator scales to real volume at a price that is easy to justify.

Who Should Skip It

You are a professional cinematics team and your only requirement is the best possible video output from a single model. Runway Gen-4.5 is my benchmark there. Magic Hour does not challenge it.

You need 4K resolution and are evaluating the Creator plan. The pricing table puts 4K on Business at $66/month and lists Creator at 1024px.

You are evaluating based on the “1.7 hours of video” figure on Creator and planning to generate that in Veo 3.1 or Kling 3.0. You will not get 1.7 hours at those model rates. The hours figure is LTX-2.5 480p. Know the difference before you buy.

Magic Hour is not trying to be the best AI video model. It is trying to be the last AI content subscription you need to open a second tab for. For a meaningful share of creators, that is the more useful promise.

The free tier is enough to find out if the tools fit your workflow before you spend anything.

How does Magic Hour compare to Runway?
Runway is a model-first platform built around Gen-4.5 cinematic output, with Kling 3.0 on all paid tiers. Magic Hour is a workflow-first platform: access to frontier video models wrapped with dedicated face swap, talking photo, and lip sync tools in one subscription. Magic Hour Pro at $25/month annual is $3 less than Runway Pro at $28/month annual. The right choice depends on what your workflow actually requires.
What is the face swap tool?
Magic Hour’s face swap tool replaces faces in photos, videos, and GIFs. It supports single face swap, multiple face swaps, head swap, and body swap. Free to try without signup, up to 3 videos per day. API access is included on all paid plans.
Who is Magic Hour for?
Content creators who need face swap, talking photo, or lip sync alongside standard AI video generation. Marketing teams running UGC ads or personalized video campaigns at scale. Creators who currently subscribe to two or three separate tools and want to consolidate. Skip it if your only requirement is the highest-quality cinematic video generation. That is still Runway’s category.
Does Magic Hour work for teams?
Yes. The Business plan at $66/month annual supports unlimited concurrent generations, 4K resolution, 10GB file uploads, and 840,000 credits per year. Full API access and SDKs for Python, Node.js, Go, and Rust are included on every paid plan, so production pipelines can run directly from the API without the web interface.
